La Fleur de Thym - Reservar uma mesa

We were staying in the area for a few nights and found this very good restaurant which was just right for a good meal and wine. I had been a bit worried that I might not find good food so was very happy to find La fleur de thym, here it is, good food, good friendly service and lovely wine. Up to date French modern classic food, well presented. It feels like a family run restaurant at a guess and there was a real sense of pride with very welcoming service. I loved it.

Dashing home with work to do and nothing in the fridge, I spy the ardoise outside the Fleur de Thym: Fricassée de pintade 11€. My car swings into the car park of its on volition, I'm swiftly seated and within 10 minutes I have an excellent glass of red and a generous plate of DELICIOUS guinea fowl, wonderful sauce and delicate pillows of gnocchi, piping hot. Heaven. Bravo.

Bright and friendly ambiance. Veloute of scallop and Terrine of venison appetizers were very nice. Main course of Fish soup was very tasty but small,and not hot enough. Warming the crock first would help. The Lotte main course was lovely. At 29Euro per plate to star, the portion size are wanting.

The food standard was good in this restaurant. The environment was nice and quite (sat three other couples in the restaurant). I would recommend this restaurant if you are not a heavy eater.

As ever good service, superbe foie gras, REALLY good filet de bœuf, brochette st Jacques well cooked but served with an odd assortment of vegetables.
