We spent one evening at Bergerac a couple of weeks ago. Having been in France for nearly a fortnight, we fancied a change from the traditional French cuisine. Our first choice restaurant, that was just across the road from our hotel was closed that evening and we wanted to recce the route to the station, in advance of our departure the following day. Having walked to the station we realised that we were not in the nicest part of town.
