This is a traditional restaurant in the region. They often use ingredients from local producers (meat, cheese and so on) and the dishes are usually very tasty. It seems that the restaurant has a new management since late 2018/early 2019, and the new chef is very talented. There are plenty of tables, enough for the regular customers, but I advise booking in advance just in case (especially on holidays). As for the service, it's just OK. But it could be more friendly and welcoming. Price for a single person ranges around 25€ to 30€ (starters, main course, dessert and a glass of wine). If you're passing around, it's worth stopping by! Lovely find in Chateauvieux whilst we were staying at Le Bois Fae nearby, who recommended La Gruppi. Apart from a local man we were the only visitors but it was March and the main tourist season still hadn't started. Warm welcome from the couple who own the restaurant, food was all homemade and seasonal produce. We had the escalope milanaise (slightly too charred but ok and the filet de mignon which was in a delicious sauce and very tender. Homemade chips, with skins on, which in France is rare! For dessert we chose a normal tiramisu and one with creme de marron flavour was great. Sur la route des Gorges du Verdon, dans un cadre superbe et au calme. L'accueil est très agréable. J'ai savouré mon entrée foie gras, mon plat fish and chips de joue de loup, mon dessert nougat glacé, pour 23 €. Tout est fait maison ! Celles et ceux qui ont un palais sauront apprécier. A mon prochain passage dans le coin, j'y retournerai avec plaisir.
