La Mandoline Restaurant

We traveled to Brantome in the middle of summer and settled on the Mandoline for lunch. We were not disappointed. Good food and good wine under the shade on a very hot day was a welcome addition to the experience of this lovely town. Almost all of the tables were located outdoors under parasols on the sidewalk. The staff were friendly and efficient, and tables were cleared quickly after diners departed, ready for fresh customers.

Located in a small but fascinating place near Perigueux, La Mandoline will be one of our most remembered sites in our visit to South France. For those looking for home made and local, we recommend trying the “Galette du Terroir . Thank you very much for this beautiful experience.

Had lunch here today, sat outside, enjoying the sunshine and the quiet streets of Brantome. Good menu choice, I went for confit duck in a delicious pepper sauce. Portion was large and the food was excellent. Great location along the riverside.

Great food, great service and amazing location. We had a glorious lunch at this special location. Omelettes and Quiches are so tasty. Service was friendly and very professional. Definitely going back when we visit again! Thank you

On a sunny day we had a lovely lunch here outside by the river. The staff was friendly and efficient and the restaurant is located next to the abbey. Lunch for 2 was 22 Euros.
