We looked around Nevers last night and this looked very traditional and regional fare was abundant on the menu. They have a novel idea about ordering food which is they hand you a small blackboard and chalk and tell you to write your own order. They are happy to discuss any menu items and our waitress spoke some English which helped. The €14.70 evening menu had plenty of selection for us both, but I have to say we both cried off the Andouilletes (tripe sausage) and the calf's head. Gently smoked herring with warm boiled potato and salad was a gorgeous starter and my wife's goats cheese, gently toasted was a winner too.
