La Placa - Reservar uma mesa

Just as most people (other than bikers, cyclists and car drivers with extra insurance) we visited Bar la Placa in the incredible Vall de Ebo after an occasionally frightening journey in a 36-seater coach trip from Benissa. Organised by Pamela Dawson Tasker who does so...much brilliant charity work on the Costa Blanca, this was Pam's Cherry Excursion' because late May is cherry picking time up in the Sierra de la Carrasca. The road from Pego begins gently enough but then rises dramatically with a series of hairpin bends up to spectacular summits overlooking frightening gorges. we sat in vall d’ebo after a good part of the way to the beginning of the barranc d’infer and are past the end of the plaça. very casual, local quantity, and we were glad to find outdoor seating available (under a...awning, for shadowing we ordered beer and oliven, followed by a couple of slabkamminados with a glass wein, and everything was fresh and really well prepared. loved the fact that they contained grilled local seasonal vegetables. I had grilled squid and my friend had the lambskins. And all lunch came to ca. 25€, including drink. the waitress was friendly, the man at the bar (the owner is sure) was proud of the use of local ingredients - well recommended.

we drove by pego and decided to stop in vall de ebo. Canned over this caffe on the main square. does not look much from the outside, but we have settled and decided to order. sorted drinks then surprised to find no menu. instead we have. tapas ordered for 4 with a vegetarian eating fish. we had no idea what was coming, but were presented with a mixed salad-squid-squid-squick fish and patatas-sweater. all beautiful. and all for less than 50 €. and a beautiful waitress to catch it. it really felt like you were eating in someone's house. it was great.

we went to eat on a Friday night. I've never been there before, but I'll go there again and again. the entertainment was good some very good singers. the food served was excellent and many small touches they don't get anywhere else. the service was excellent and nothing too much annoyed. each of our party said we will be back. thanks to all the staff in cash. excellent location.

fab eating, great beer, friendly staff, it was often not atmospheric right at the church in summer and cozy with heating or sitting in winter. recommend a glass of 1906 beer drinks come with free tapas
