La poissonnerie moderne

Sadly the service from the waitress, (daughter of the owner, incredulously), was exceedingly rude. I am a frequent visitor to Trebes, being a home owner, and my French is improving, but I didn't understand the explanation of the fish of the day. When I said I didn't understand, she simply shouted it in French louder. I therefore beckoned the owner, who also only used the sane words in French. The waitress then came over to say it was like cod. Why did she not just say that when I asked??? For a restaurant to have repeat business they pught to be polite, and explain things to foreigners. We visited this restaurant last week . The service and attitude of one particular waitress was downright rude . Our friend , who has a home in Trebes , spoke in French to this waitress , and the lack of response to questions asked , and , stomping off without acknowledging what was being asked , is beyond rude . We then discover this girl is the daughter of the owner. What a way to represent a family business! Other customers next to us witnessed this dreadful behaviour too , one French lady followed our friend into the retaurant , to complain to the owner , and said that she had seen and heard this . We were a table of 9. When arriving we were excited as the presentation of the food is very nice. We noticed there was a table of 4 that left with a full table of food still there. At first we thought it was odd but later we found out that the majority of the plates ordered were very low quality. The tuna was dry and salty, the rice too salty and over cooked, the desserts below average. The duck was ok but most of us ordered seafood being a seafood restaurant. Not worth the stop.

Highly recommended. Beautiful tuna, salmon and muscles. Very attentive and quick service, traditional French cuisine. Would definitely return.

Lovely restaurant, great fish, like most restaurants in France it serves only drinks between 2-7 but we loved this place.
