La Posada - Reservar uma mesa

We were hungry after heading down highway 160 for a Sunday drive heading south from home in West Sacramento, stopped at the liquor store for a drink and decided to give this restaurant a try when we saw it. It’s facade is not built out or anything like that and is very “divey”. It’s under new management and ownership in the last month or so, and it is one of the best, homemade meals I have had in a long time when it comes to Mexican food. We have visited many places in Sacramento and I am originally from East LA, the home of some of the best Mexican food and I can tell you that this little hole in a wall deserves to get off the ground with more people visiting it! It was a perfect little lunch on my way home from Sacramento to San Francisco. It felt very authentic- like I was in Mexico, but it was across the waters of the Sacramento River! Delicious bean tostada with fresh tomato and avocado, and a Jarritos. Friendly service too. ¡Me encanta!

Simply delicious. Wonderful people. The enchiladas wEre to die for. Great location across from the river.
