La Robe - Reservar uma mesa

Hello, I may be the first British reviewer, but I sincerely hope I'm not the last otherwise so many will miss out on what is a very good restaurant!! I've been twice now and rate it as some of the best food I've eaten anywhere. It looks nothing special from the outside, and the fact that you walk around the rear of the building to gain access to the restaurant is a little strange, but once you step foot inside all is revealed. A beautifully designed restaurant with high quality furnishings mixing new and old design, it's not cramped and has two floors. The staff are knowledgeable, with the head waiter able to explain all dishes in English too....he even went to get some seaweed from the Kitc...

Totally unexpected this wonderful dinner in “La Robe”!!! Montaigu is a small town and we just passed it on our journey. You enter the restaurant in a small ally off a little square and theN the surprises begin! We took the menu of about 60 euros and it was worth every penny! The lovely little starters, the fleur de courgette with chicken pâté in it and the subtle sauce, a wonderful lobster carré surrounded by an excellent bisque, then turbot with a beautiful baby courgette and again subtle herbs and spices. Desert was perfect tartelette de fraises and the other one a chocolate phantasy). The wines we were advised were gorgeous and as I said it was worth every penny! For us it is worth a deto...

Service brouillon et desagreable, soit le serveur est trop presse on a pas le temps de faire notre choix, soit il n est pas la. Le service au verre pour le vin est du meme niveau, soit on vous ressert , vous n avez pas fini votre verre, mais on vs facture deux verres, soit vous pouvez attendre personne nne viendra remplir le verre. Les plats sont de qualite mais il n y a rien dans l assiette. Habitues des tables gastronomiques et etoilees, on est ressortis en ayant faim ! Un comble pour une etoile michelin. A eviter , il ne vaut pas le detour et ne restera pas dans nos tablettes

Nous avons été très bien reçu, le service en salle est parfait. Le repas était original avec une mention spéciale pour le plat de pigeon. Très bons vins servis sur les conseils du sommelier. Par contre, grosse déception sur les desserts qui ne sont pas à la hauteur du menu...

Bonne table abordable avec une carte qui se renouvelle.les saveurs et cuissons sont au RDV.je conseille vivement.
