"The restaurant is really nice and the people are friendly and welcoming. The price of the menu is between 35 and 45 euros and if you are finished, feel really full! You can choose your medieval dress and some fun pictures with your friends. It's just a little strange without eating forks!"

We have eaten many times over the years in the Rotisserie. We loved everything, including the fact that it was very much not Disney esque. The original restaurant was run 15 years until 2012 by a chef who was quite serious about the authenticity of the food as it cooked and served and eaten. Unfortunately, he had to stop for health reasons. The original plan was that all recipes from the 13th and 14th The century and nothing served what did not exist at that time (obvily, not literally). He used local fresh products, beautiful salad and honey and amazing cheese. And they did not serve coffee that had not been discovered yet. I'm sure people missed a coffee after their meal, but it was worth...

We visited Villerouge Termes on a road trip as we had read it was the home of the last of the Cathar’s and it seemed a welcome change from climbing hills to see deserted chateaus. The village didn't disappoint and is well worth a visit but the Medieval Rotisserie was amazing. We had appetisers, large bowls of coarse pate to start, a bread plate with a whole chicken and various veg and accompaniments and finally a collection of puddings. All the time we were kept topped up with chilled red and white wines as well as other spirits and a drink similar to mead all well worth the money. Service, even with our weak French, was excellent.

We had a family group with children from 9 from Ireland, the USA and Australia loved the amuse bouch, but not for everyone. Everyone loved the chicken and children enjoyed the quiche. Deserts could be much hotter, but otherwise something for an experience. She was fantastic about the birthday boy service, could have danced with some traditional live dance and music that would add the taste of the place. Well done to all team and Thierry!!

This is great fun, the food is delicious and we all have to dress up what our children enjoyed especially. The staff is really nice to children. There is a very nice attention to detail and it feels like you have just experienced a real piece of medieval food. They even packed our remains for us to take away!
