La Sen Vietnamese Restaurant

Discovered this little restaurant accidentally on my first night in Sydney and have been reluctantly returning ever since for the last year. The food is always amazing (I only ever eat the Pho, spring rolls, pancake and salt and pepper squid) an the staff are always hard work. We are repeated customers but they really don't ever want to help us out. For example, we asked if we could have a tea instead of a coke in the lunch time deal (a much cheaper move for them) but they repeatedly refused. Definitely come and eat what we suggest as it is annoyingly good but I promise you won't leave a tip!

We dined here on 28/3/17 at 9.00pm and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered sizzling mixed seafood plate with advertised vegetables such as snow peas , broccoli and other variety of veggies. We got a plate with seafood, onion and green and red capsicum exactly the same as the chicken dish we ordered. I complained to the waitress and her feeble excuse was the vegetables did not arrive. Surely someone could have gone out in the day and purchased the required vegetables. Not happy- would not recommend this place.

really great Vietnamese eating at the spot randwick. there is a separate vegan menu (on the back of the regular menu) with baptism of options. the la sen boa rolls were delicious and really tasteful. the fried rice can be tasty and not oily as many. the vermicelli bowl was really hearty and had again great taste. everything was really light and refreshing, highly recommended.

We thought we'd try this restaurant out at the Spit in Randwick, the service was fine wait staff we friendly but the food was too salty that we could not finish our dishes.I did mention it to the wait staff hopefully they have taken this feedback on board. It is a shame because we were really looking forward to yummy Vietnamese food and were hoping to get it here

Tired this out while my wife was staying at the Royal women's hospital for our new born baby. We had the combination Pho and Vermicelli bowl. Both very nice.
