We were glad we had booked as this is a busy little place, A long and attractive frontage and inside 2 smaller rooms. We had a great welcome and were helped with the menu by the English speaking chef.The menu used local produce, and my wife started with beer soup which utilsed local vegetables and cheese. My starter was a salad of veal with parsley,leaves and another local cheese. The mains were beef tongue with carrots and other vegetables in a hot sauce, and a liquidised black pudding on mashed potatoes on top of apple puree Both were very good as were the desserts of chocolate and orange mousse, and tarte de suc with custard. We dropped in a little late for lunch. 6 covers 4 adults and 2 under 5. The restaurant is not big but they have 2 rooms. Feel they cater for a regular lunch clientele. The food was lovely with nice touches. The soup included sweet chestnuts and the main had unusual veg in our case salsify. My veal casserole came with a mushroom sauce very tender but the rice was supposed to have a curry flavour which seemed a little light of touch.I would not recommend for small children as food too sophisticated for tiny folk. Mon peer ran front of house and sharing a plate for 2 little folk was definitely not on. A pity as Mum and Dad had to sweep up. However would recommend.

Small menu but amazing cooking, hand written menu makes it a little difficult to understand what is available, we ate outside in the rear garden because it was so warm. Essentially a locals restaurant with dad who is a butcher and son the chef. great combination of skills and service. On a bad bend and easily missed but well worth turning around and parking in the car park opposite. Yes Quirky but very good.

Well another exceptional find excellent service and a very friendly owner plus a delicious and very reasonably priced lunch menu. Simplicity done very very well which isn't always easy. À Bientôt!

staff were sufficiently attentive, warm, friendly and professional and the food was top class. Not a large menu, but very well done and, in my view, correctly priced.
