La Table Des Bains

We had lunch there on New Year's day. We were lucky to be seated on the veranda with a lovely view of the pools and the hills beyond. The buffet is really good we took the 54frs selection which included starters, soup, main course, dessert. Everything was tasty and the meat (filet of beef) was cooked in front of us and just perfectly cooked. The waitress was not the best. She was hard to understand not because of language but because she mumbled into her mask! And she was very slow to collect used plates even when it was obvious that we had finished the course some time before! We will definitely go back and perhaps next time include a swim before lunch!

We ate here two nights and were quite happy with the food. The cold bar is extensive and the second night we stuck to it along with the dessert bar. The hot entrees were OK, but after trying them the first night we decided it wasn't worth the extra cost. It must be said.that the desserts were exquisite.

The quality of the food is really good not exciting but solidly good and satisfying. I love the poached Norwegian salmon and the soup and croutons in particular. The atmosphere is posh but comfortable and relaxed. If you can, find/book a table by the bay windows and enjoy the mountain view.

In addition to a huge buffet, they will cook the meat of your choice before your eyes, with an amazing selection including venison, lamb, beef, bold boar and much else.

Great place to come and eat after a nice dip in the baths. Food was very tasty and staff were friendly.
