La Taverna - Reservar uma mesa

Not having other alternatives for a dinner as the city is very small and all the other restaurants were close we had to eat in La Taverna. The food is not as bad, but the service is a disaster. There was a dog in the restaurant as big as a pony; to get the bottle to see where the wine is coming from was an act and then the owner was saying that they are not accepting credit cards as she doesn't want to pay the credit card charges and we have to go to next ATM to cash in from credit card and pay in cash.Not expecting this kind of service in a city which is fully live from tourism, but looks like being a monopolist is spoiling some of the restaurants owners.Quite disappointing...

as the city is very small and all other restaurants nearby, we had to eat in la taverna, as we had no other alternatives for an evening meal. eating is not so bad, but the service is a catastrophe. there was a dog in the restaurant, as big as a pony; to get the bottle to see where the wein comes from was a deal, and then the owner said that they do not accept credit cards because they do not want to pay the credit card fees and we have to go to the next cash machine to pay cash by credit card and pay cash. this type of service not to expect in a city that lives full of tourism, but as a monopolist looks, spoils some of the restaurant owners. pretty disappointing.

We have been to Meersburg for a number of years and we have used this restaurant a number of times, and the food use to be good quality Italian, but it has gone down hill, the food is awful. It took forever for two pizzas to come and in the meantime we saw other tables sending their pasta back. When trying to get the bill at the end, the waitress was more interested in looking after her nails then actually looking after the customers

from the Pizzateig-Tomaten-Knoblauch appetizer, which was larger than expected, the excellent, affordable wine, delicious main dishes and great desserts, everything was top-class. the great service and the environment strengthened a very relaxed, pleasant evening

Visited off-season so early closing. Good value pizza and friendly family service. Parked outside in evening but would need to use carpark in season. Serves drinks.
