La Taverne - Reservar uma mesa

Called on the way to Calais and the restaurant was crammed with locals. The service was absolutely excellent and the food tremendous value, particularly the plat du jour. Water and bread fetched immediately and all the other tables had similar quick service despite only one waitress. This is not fine dining but it's freshly cooked and good helpings. The sort of bistro atmosphere you look for in France but usualy get overpriced food and lack-lustre service.

This is a fairly basic resto with good food for fair dollar. Friendly staff. Meals are regional and well prepared. Nothing fancy but a good buy for the buck! Startingprices for entree-plat-dessert are €13,50.
