if you can enjoy a long place where you can enjoy the traditional French accommodation and kitchen, this is the place to be. the hotel and restaurant are located directly in the city center of autun in an old but well maintained building. parking the...car is easy and the reception is very friendly. the rooms are in the location: stately rooms with lots of space and amenities. our room was very quiet given the fact that they are in the center of a city. the restaurant is really very good. it is like back to our French celebrated in the previous century: a very complete and tasteful 4 course menu and, like apotheosis, the choice a fair of about 25 different cheeses. everything is very tasty a...
always looking for real French experiences when I am frankly, that is in the rule 2-3 times a year and le tete noire was perfect. the host, a few who seem to run and own the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and attentive. chose from the...cheapest set menu, that was 23euro for 4 courses and everyone was brilliant (I have eaten in many more expensive restaurants, but worth for money this place to crush it) the cheese selection was brilliant and very generous! left very full, and with the thought that if I ever returned to autun, I would fortunately come back again.
This is a small family-run hotel in the centre of a historic city. We received a warm welcome after a long train journey on a chilly, wet night. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the best Burgundian tradition; the service was particularly friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable and we slept well. A further advantage is that the restaurant is open on Sunday evenings, not always an easy time in provincial France. Anyone who loves mediaeval art and enjoys good food should visit Autun; I would strongly recommend this hotel.
Reviewers who call this 'the best dining in Autun' can't be far wrong. We ate breakfasts and major meals here over several days...and not for lack of having other choices. Travelers and plenty of local people choose to dine here. The dining room(s) are spacious and cheerful, light-filled venues. Table linens are of good quality and the food is very, very good. Fresh and local with solid contemporary more than 'imaginative' recipes dominate the menus. Prices are moderate and the wine list does credit to the region. Reserve uma mesa agora
Not a lot open on a Weds night in February in Autun. This seemed to be the only place with people eating. Good food, we had 3 course menu for €18.00, starter and main good with limited choice, always a good sign to me. Cheese to follow with choice from a large trolley or large dessert. Would consider staying in hotel on a future visit based on the restaurant quality. Family run with good service. Slight quibble, the young waiter had either just played sport or needed a little personal hygiene advice!
Place just around the corner from the main square, well worth those few steps. Great hospitality and service, simple decor, generous portions and perfectly cooked food. I had duck breast with orange, my husband had a steak, both very happy. Dessert just absolute delight, 'Illes flotantes' , light, tasty, perfect finish for the dinner. Great value for money, would go there any time again. Highly recommended.
hellowe dined in your restaurant on the 31 August and are writing to say how much we enjoyed the experience. The meal was excellent, your staff were friendly, very attentive and kept an eye on us without being obtrusive. It was a very pleasant evening and good value for money. When we pass Autun again we will return for a repeat! With best wishes and please thank your staff for usChristine and David Martin
We ate here on a Monday night when almost everything else in the town was shut. very pleased that we did. The menu was a very reasonable price and the food of a high standard - nothing exciting or innovative but good cooking, which is what we wanted. The service was friendly without being effusive and we would go again. Reserve uma mesa agora
A good menu with varied choices. The locals come here so you know it is good. They offer fixed menu and al la carte. The service was excellent and the owner was very accommodating trying to find something that my husband, who was not feeling well, might enjoy eating.
