La Toque - Reservar uma mesa

Clearly a bad night at the office when both service and food suffered, seemingly because of a large private room booking which is no excuse. My Halibut was partially overcooked as prep was uneven; the veal chop was not a great piece of meat and as for the strawberry shortbread it was the worst ever just bread. A small point but should diners have to pour their own wine in a Michelin Star restaurant? I don't think so. All these points were raised with our waiter at the end of the evening. It would have been nice to get some acknowledgement from the restaurant subsequently.

Wow 2 years later and what a difference in experience and not good. The food and the wine were just mediocre. The flavors did not work with the wines served. The wines served were less than 40 per bottle as well. And nothing was outstanding. 650 for 2people. I feel taken advantage and will NOT be back. Wonderful food, and wine pairing dinner. The staff was great, and they provided excellent service. This is dinner not to be missed! There were 4 people in our party and we all loved every food and every wine that was poured.

Been meaning to write this review for a while now as La Toque was sincerely the lowest point of our May 2019 Napa vacation. I cannot express in words how simply disappointing our whole dining experience was from start to finish. We arrived for an early reservation but were still surprised to see we were the only table in the restaurant. This should have been a huge red flag.

Excellent food. Location in a hotel made it less of a memorable experience though. Would recommend better ambiance music and guests should be required to dress up for such an amazing food experience!

Did is really nice, but it doesn't feel very special inside and not as great an experience as their old location
