La Trattoria da Francesca

When we arrived just after the restaurant opened and there was a long delay before being seated, we should have heeded the warning sign and gone elsewhere. For some reason we were not made to feel welcome at this restaurant. When our starters arrived they were accompanied by a basket of bread one small piece for each of the four at the table in contrast the table next to us that had a basket full of multiple large pieces of bread. We asked for 4 plates (in French) so that we could all have some of each of the starters but they never arrived to me a cornerstone of Italian food is to have it “family style”. The starters were average although a little over priced for the quality of ingredients...

Starving kids en route through France and Sens was where we ended up. It was a lovey detour and the trattoria did the job with decent pizzas, a lovey outdoor location and good service. Nothing to write home about but no complaints.

On 06/07/23 .Superb view at the foot of Sens Cathedral. The Italian kir is good. Large terrace. Reservation indispensable. Correct prices. Norma pizza is good for pescatore.

It was sunny enough to sit outside and watch the world go by. Ideal positon opposite the Cathedral. Tiramisu excellent and the lasagne was very hot and also very tasty.

We went out to eat some pizzas The one with with vegetables was a cheer delight Nice waiters , it is really a nice place !!
