La Unica Tortilleria

We travel from the state and we are looking for authentic Mexican food, the reviews led us here. When we entered, the place was clean and tables well removed, the friendly young lady took my order in English after she noticed that my Spanish was not sooo big. The chips with salsa and pico came to the table and both were tasteful. Our meal has arrived hot! Everything was really seasoned, the eggs perfectly cooked and we were very happy with the meal! Perfectly authentic! After dinner I checked the bathroom and they smelled and looked clean! No complaints, only in agreement... That's the only one! La Unica! With a full parking lot it is a must if you are in Lufkin!

I didn't know what to expect. Not coming from the area just because of the reviews. OMG! The food was by far the best delicious Mexican food I ever had (I am not Mexican). I talked to the staff since I had no idea what was, a very sweet lady took the time to explain to me as I commanded. ****! Do not let the place or building deceive for a second. They want to eat taste they come and ignore all others. You won't regret it!

The first time here. This is one of these hidden gems, from the beaten path that the locals keep secret. Service was good and the food was great!! Looking for a great meal? This is the place!

If you want a fancy place to eat, this is not the spot for you. If you want delicious Mexican food, in a friendly and simple environment, then make the visit. The menudo was stellar.

My Hubby had some of there at work in a meeting and he said they were good.. So today I went and bought 8 different types and I can say they are delicious.. jummy
