Lady Bedford's Tea Parlour

After taking a tea class, a friend and I are trying local 'afternoon tea services '. Lady Bedford 's met our high expectations. There was a nice selection of teas with a generous portion of fresh scones, sweets and savories; they were tasty and unique. My favorite was the cucumber on cinnamon bread. Yum. Each of us had a separate tower of treats so there were no problems that come with sharing. Service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere had a very English-cottage feel. Tidbits of information on tables and walls added interest. We made a reservation and showed up promptly--a must for this small, intimate tea room. I love this place absolutely. I had my sisters bridal shower in this tea salon and it was the best. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Everyone at our party enjoyed themselves. I live in Florida, but when I visit my mother in NC, we always make a trip to this place. It has become a must on our agenda.
