L'amandine - Reservar uma mesa

I have been visiting l'amandine whilst on holiday for a couple of years now, and have seen it develop from a comfy little bar / cafe into the trendy bar cafe it is now.When I originally started to visit for my daily breakfast the staff were friendly and attentive, the breakfast pastries were served in delightfully rustic wicker baskets with serviette sand the coffee was lovely.We didn't visit la tranche last year, but have returned this year, and the changes to my favourite cafe are not for the better in my opinion.I visited the cafe with my husband for breakfast this morning and we were quite disappointed. We have visited this establishment many times over the years but unfortunately its level of service has been going down hill rapidly, service was very poor last year and very slow but we said maybe it was a bad day so we tried it again this year, and the service was slower again, the waitress was very rude, and did not even bring our water. We mentioned it to the person who seemed to be in charge who explained that on a Saturday night he does not put his most experienced staff because of the change over of tourists.The toilet door still has no lock and is like that for years.The food is good so it is such a shame about the bad service.Behind the Restaurant is a mosquito infected swamp so my...

We enjoyed our morning coffee visits to L'amandine immensely. Letitia was extremely attentive, efficient and had a happy welcome for us each morning whilst also remembering our order preferences. She is certainly a great asset to the establishment. The outdoor seating area in the garden is lovely with cover for shade if required. There was a great range of breads and cakes in the bakery, a lovely spot all round and I would certainly recommend a visit.

Both main food and desserts were really great here, but it's let down by the service which is incredibly slow. Very difficult to get Waitress's attention, she did all she could to avoid eye contact! If you come here, be patient and not in a hurry to get anywhere afterwards.Shame that we also noticed lots of 'rolling of the eyes' and looks of annoyance from the waitress after customers would ask for things.

We have been visiting L'amandine regularly for many summers, it is always a pleasant place to eat, we have used it for breakfast lunch and evening meals, the food has always been excellent, the Bolognaise pizza is amazing.Reading some reports on Trip advisor I see some comments about poor or rude service, we speak very little French but have always found the staff to be very helpful and charming.
