The dine in side was closed they sent us to the bar side. We sat at a table with our little one. The bartender drink was great her service was not. I ordered crab club no bacon with bake potatoe and salad. He ordered oyster dinner with salad the lil one had cheeseburger. Well his entire meal came out together. I had to ask for my salad. He ate his entire plate b4 my meal came out. My sandwich had bacon so I had to send it back. It came back out with no potatoe and the lil ones food still wasn't out. The bartender did not check on us not 1 time the entire time. We needed new drinks napkins condiments.. we had to watch each other eat. my food was not on point (white bread one layer of crab on...
Came in for dinner, eatery was not busy, only about 4 other families as patrons. We were not greeted, waited about 10 mins before we went to the kitchen to ask for seating, and was told to seat ourselves. We waited TWENTY TWO minutes, no greeting again, no drink order, absolutely no contact. My husband went up to the kitchen again to place our order. There was a waitress moving around the floor, and kept avoiding our table altogether, without a greeting nor a simple, ?hang tight, I?ll be with you shortly.? The table behind us even had to also walk up to the kitchen to pay her tab, and told the wait staff, ?you guys need more help.? After the 3rd time the waitress walked by us after another 1...
I'm still on the fence about this place. The service is good and the staff are friendly but I don't think it's the best seafood service in the area. I think they need to do a round of taste test on some of their dishes to establish if they are using too much salt, if a dish's center is cooked enough, and if they should put less onion and vinegar (why is this in the dish? ? in the sautee.
This used to be my go to spot to unwind. However, the food has become mediocre, and the portion sizes have gotteb smaller. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced (still strong though...lol). The place still feels like Cheer's, which is why I still stop by from time. The atmosphere is live, fun and great place to watch the game and just and talk trash about your team. Service was a little slow, but well worth the wait. We had a wonderful server who was somehow managing to take care of what seemed like the entire resteraunt. The food was incredible. I had the combo platter baked for $32. It was all good, but the crabcake really was probably the best I have had. Everyone in the place seemed to be having a great time.
I didn't even consider the food when I noticed that the place was surrounded by bars on both sides; it's just not my scene. So, I ended up going to Red Hummer instead. There was no one to assist with seating, which left me with the bar as my only option, and that wasn't ideal for me.
