Lao Ma Tou Hot Pot Rowland Heights

This is very nice place if you want authentic Chinese hot pot. Our family had been enjoying so much; we stop by any time we could even though the services are very much among average.. However, it was so disappointing today, as Ms. Nina at front desk who claimed she is the on-site manager with no owner at present today. I sent my 80 years parents in-law to get in line at 5pm as I knew this place will be packed . It was quite early and we couldn't make till around 5:30pm. So Ms. Nina stated she will arrange a table for sure around 5:30pm over and over again to my in laws. Yet, at 5:30pm, when we were there ready for a table, Ms. Nina denied everything she promised.Next table is 40 mins away....

After watching the staff handling raw meat and then vegetables, without gloves. I would not even taste it, so I can 't tell you how it tastes. Not trying to get sick, the way the food is handled was gross to me, just my opinion. I know I 'll never go to this place again, there are several other good restaurants to choose from that are much cleaner and safer with the food handling. Maybe this is the reason they have a grade B from the county inspector. It was full of people, so I guess they don 't mind eating food handled this way or they don 't know what I personally witnessed when I attempted to eat at this Hot Pot restaurant. #WARNING #UNHEALTHLY #SPREADGERMS #GROSS #NOTCLEAN

3.5. My friend were saying this is the best hot pot in LA, all other famous one he already tired. ? but long waiting and I really think it can’t be the best in LA … who knows. The price are definitely friendly tho! The service is good. I really have no complaint rather than waiting time.

Food was really good and decently priced. You have to come early in order to find open seats or else the line gets very long. Staff are very kind and patient too.
