This restaurant is located in the Domplatz and the terrace is an absolutely beautiful place to eat their rice dishes. We had a seafood patella and I can say that the rice was made at home and the portions very generous, but the dish did not fit exactly what a Valencian would call Paella, there was no sokarrate and the rice was more just than what I expected (something between a Arros Caldos and a Paella. Nevertheless we had a nice meal, good service, good wine and enjoyed quite a lot of our evening.
After having arrived late afternoon in Burgos we stopped in front of the cathedral for a super quick snack and drink. Ordered some patatas bravas and they were served cold and so greasy and undercooked. Sent them back and they came back semi warm with some kind of mayonnaise instead of Ali olí which had never seen garlic in its life. Having lived in Spain for 13 years these were officially the worst bravas we have ever tasted. Staff pretty indifferent too and toilets disgusting. Don't bother going.
Food in L’arruzz for our last night in Burgos. Spectacular food. Amazing service from a super friendly, patient and creepy waiter! The absolute perfect end of our three weeks in Spain... in a beautiful place right opposite the Burgos Cathedral! Had the goat cheese with roasted vegetables appetizer and paella for a main course. Ramon Bilbao Crianza to go. What a special place!
We had an excellent meal in this restaurant. The price was reasonable, but the food was delicious. Service was excellent. Although we had the pilgrim menu, our service and food was not different from others sitting around us. We would definitely get back to this restaurant!!!!
