Las Ventas De Velazquez

We decided to give this place a go based on a recommendation from a friend. I can't say a huge amount about it except the food is very normal and the prices are quite high as far as Madrid goes. We ordered lamb shank (which wasn't bad), steak cooked improperly (twice), octopus (pulpo a la gallega) very well cooked but way too much salt and a few other dishes (nothing to write home about). Service was fine. The wine list was very good and decor is interesting but the pictures of bulls being stabbed by cowards in tight shiny pants and bulls heads on the wall watching you eat a distant relative are very off putting. One of the best authentic Spanish restaurants ever. The food tasted amazing and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Loved the atmosphere and how spotless the restaurant was. Will definitely come back again on our next stop in Getafe. 100% recommend it!

Good food. Nice tapas. Especially if you like good spanish ham and chees. But sometimes dificult to park your car. Better to go on foot if you live nearby

One of the best restaurants in Getafe. If you ever go to a Getafe game, go here for some food before! Highly recommend it!!!

Great authentic Spanish food. Only sad thins is that there wasnt enough room in my stomach for everything.
