L'assiette Gourmande

I never learn this my self but Always it is the same result! Not happy. I waited for the meny and finally they brought me the big sign from outside and put in the chair in front of me. OK this I can live with. I ordered the most expensive meny and could chose from a lot of different dishes. As a starter I piched duck sallad. The sallad was big and everything well tasting. Smoked duck breast and cubes of confit de canard was perfect and also the different lettuce and endive sprinkeled with walnut oil. T-bone steak 450 g as main course was a disaster. My hushand and I plus 2 friends visited this restaurant on Saturday 7 October 2017. We have had meals here on a number of ocassions in the past. We ordered a 75cl pichet of vin rouge. Subsequently we ordered a 50cl pichet of vin rouge. At the end of our meal we paid the bill in full. After leaving the premises we studied the bill and found 75cl was priced at 19 euro and 50cl was priced at 7.50 euro. My husband queried this on Monday, with the same waitress, and she admitted she had made a mistake and 75cl should have been charged at 16.50 euro. A refund of 2.50euro was given. It's better than you would expect. We were driving around Luberon and got really hungry. It was a busy day so we stopped in Apt on our way without having the time for choosing the place where to have our lunch. So it was first spot that looked like there's food served. The first impression was should we stop here, but my son was really hungry and we decided to have a lunch here. And it was a big surprise. We arrived in Apt late from a drive over from Avignon to discover we needed to make a call to contact at our place to stay. Alas no cell phone and no calling card for the public phone. We found this restaurant open and asked for the use of a phone. The friendly chef who speaks good English came to our rescue. She made the call for us on her personal cell phone, and allowed me to talk to our host. What a relief Now time to eat. We discussed the menu and had the chef's suggestion. If was a meal to remember. Yes we will return here before leaving Apt.

Had a quick dinner there after a long drive, the selection of dishes is fair, the food was average, the waiter was friendly.
