L'Atelier des Saveurs

A friend and I dined here on a Friday night. It started slightly unpromisingly. We were shown to a table and then abandoned with dodgy looking menus and drinks list this did not say 'quality '. The lady running front of house then sat for 5 minutes with what were clearly customers planning a future event, other guests arrived at the restaurant and I had to call the woman to get her to seat them. So not the most promising start! But the food turned out to be excellent well all apart from the bread which had either been in the fridge or frozen. It all seemed a bit quiet when we arrived here for dinner at 8. I'm always a bit suspiscious at being the only people in a restaurant, but much to our relief, the place started filling up with some walk-ins and other booked guests, so we relaxed. It's run by a husband and wife team, with Madame at the front-of-house. Service was professional and when the food arrived my mate and I raised our eyebrows in disbelief that the food should be of such high quality. 2 courses each, a bottle of wine and a digestif to finish, with a bill that was not excessive at all. We are making our way back to Calais from a weekend away and had visited the nearby Vinchy Ridge memorial. There is a very simple, 3 course lunch, with a choice of two dishes for each course. For just 29euro. The food was excellent, with lots of innovation. The wine list was also good value with a good range of wines, including many from smaller french wine regions,such as the Jura. Well worth the detour from the Motorway and easy to find as its on a main road.

as usual, it was so good , so creative, well presented we used to go in order to enjoy the food of Francois and his team and to have the pleasure to have fun with Caro ! we went for the special New Year menu, we already tried a la carte, it was super yummy The presentation of the dishes became more modern, the tastes are really well balanced i really recommend this place

We definitely love this restaurant This year we booked for the new year day lunch What a lunch So tasty , so yummy and fresh , the Chef is really creative, his wife manage the dinning room with a pleasant and smiling team We loved all
