Le bienvenu - Reservar uma mesa

When you drive up the A20 you can stop at a service station and pay up to €10 for a suspect sandwich or you can come off the main road and follow the signs for Village Étape to Éguzon Chantôme. Le Bienvenue is right next to the car-park in the centre of the village by the church. We visited at Sunday lunchtime. The bulk of the seating is outside, which was all taken. A good sign! A table for 7 was laid up quickly inside and then we had 20 minutes entertainment watching the two busiest waitresses I have ever seen literally running in and out of the kitchen! Our turn to order. Easy..... either or. No menus apart from the board outside. Out came the food; well cooked, fresh tasty. Finished off...

Ten of us arrived for an evening meal, there was a large party in front of us so we thought service might be a bit slow. How wrong we were. We were greeted with a smile, drinks came quickly, our meal was from a limited menu but good choices available. Food was excellent. Our hosts Chris and Susie who live near Crozant said they would certainly go back.

A very good local restaurant, seemingly well supported by locals which is always a very good sign. Very pleasant staff and a brilliant lunch for the price. A really good meal and for us a brilliant find

This was delicious! On the highway there was a sign with “Village Étape” and we found it after a couple of kms! Much better than a highway restaurant and really friendly owners!!!

Excellent meal. Home cooked French cuisine. Fresh and well presented. Friendly owners and excellent table service. Our dog was welcome with a bowl of water
