good portions of food, but we wanted to have the menu, but they ran out of the garnish for starters and replaced by thunfish that was already on the main course. they did not offer alternatives for the menu, that was disappointing and so. one of us had to take a la carte. the menu needs more options. tastefully, they had the right ingredients. tuna for the main course was perfectly cooked, as the ratatouille was done beautifully. there were two house fronts. one of them was very chatting and had no appropriate behavior for such a restaurant. the other lacked experience. also we have seen the largest part of the kitchen team and in front of the house staff who smoked directly in front of the...

we were warmly welcomed and invited by monsieur claude at the door, although we had no reservation. the personal is friendly, helpful and speak with need perfect English. the restaurant is comfortable and the service was excellent although it was busy. the abree and. the plate was very good, but the desert du jour was even better. we had the charentais white wine from lepontis, which was also good and very valuable. several local people recommended us bistro de claude and we are very glad that they did. we enjoyed our lunch so much that we made a reservation tomorrow for dinner.

there's only something about claudes that makes my friends and irresistible to me. eating is a good honest cooking with a charentais flair, the waiters are charming and helpful, decor is very quirky (and everything better for it) and claude is a true character. it is always a special tasty bite for me and my wife and our friends to eat again at lunchtime. the meal is useful. the wine list is excellent if a little on the expensive side. if they were never before, they should really try Claude’s (not open at the weekend).

traditional bistro restaurant. sitting is excellent, decor is great, eating is a very good standard and the service is fantastic. the round plus points of this restaurant give the diner a culinary experience they would expect in high restaurants. the staff are friendly...and attentive and working hard to ensure that they enjoy their time in the bistro claude. it was good to see the number of repeated customers who visited the restaurant, and the employees were really pleased to welcome them again.
