Le Bistrot de l'Abbaye

It was mid afternoon and the restaurant was closed. We were looking at the menu outside when the chef opened the door, asked if we needed help and invited us in to see the 'specials ' board on the wall we booked a table! When we returned for dinner the atmosphere was buzzing, the welcome and service were friendly and helpful and the food was really delicious. My d 'agneau meal was truly excellent the highlight meal of our holiday. When I asked for advice on which Rose wine to select the waiter suggested the second lowest priced bottle, not the most expensive!! That is what I call great Customer service. Highly recommended.

This is a great little restaurant. The combination of flavours and textures were fantastic. Traditional Normand cusine prepared in a modern light way. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and happy to answer our questions. I went with my wife, daughter and her partner and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. A great lunch.

We live about an hour away and wanted a special lunch. Found this through THe Fork so wasnt quite sure how good it would be. We were blown away with the quality of food and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Great atmosphere with locals enjoying their Saturday. We will return!

We broke our journey home to the UK for lunch with no real expectations. The Menu du Marche turned out be exceptional value. Interesting dishes prepared with great fresh ingredients served by friendly staff.

Great menu atmosphere and service. Dishes are mixed with flavours and colours always with a twist of lemon
