We've been here several times now and we have never been disappointed. Your host prides himself on producing perfect meals for his guests. Most of the food is cooked for you over an open wood fire. The quality of the food is first rate and perfectly cooked. My gluten free meal was 'no problem' and it was so tasty. The weather was not very good so we ate inside instead of overlooking the country side, but it has a unique relaxed atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. Worth a big detour to eat there again! Be sure to make a reservation as it is open eccentric hours.

This restaurant is well worth a visit. It has character and the food is excellent.We booked and arrived at 7:15 and the proprietor speaks perfect English and was very helpful. The food was not too expensive and we had an excellent evening.Some food is cooked on the open fire and it is cooked perfectly.Down a dark track, so take a torch if you are walking and perhaps call them first to make sure they are open and can accommodate you.

A fabulous find and recommended by our French B&B owner who is a chef. It's "a little different", with lots of character. The food is cooked to perfection over an open fire by the owner of the restaurant. Also some very reasonably priced, good house wines. We loved it!

Food cooked on an open fire. Very good. Chef patron very helpful and friendly. Great food cooked in an unusual way. Good wine list. Don't go if you are in a rush, as you need some time, all food is cooked to order.

Fantastic food with a very personal service. Very good value for very high quality food - 3 course lunch for €17 !! A must. Note open at different times depending on the day of the week, so check before arriving.
