We stumbled across this restaurant during our stay for the Euros and over 9 days we went back every day. The set menus, the a la carte, the wine list all proved too good not to keep coming back. If the food and wine weren't enough, the owner and his waitress were the quintessential hosts. They served French food from the region which even has influences from Italy, just up the road. The quality of the ingredients, the presentation and the choice of local wines translated into a gastronomic experience which will be remembered for a long time. Eat inside, or weather-permitting, on the terrace, just off a small town square. You'll smile at the idiosyncratic way the menu is delivered to the tabl...

To us it is unbelievable that this restaurant is not ranking in top in Saint Raphael. Situated in the centre of the old town - away from the newbuild artificial yachting ghettos where the sailors eat probably without knowing which Miditerranean town they are in - you really feel at the centre of life... Close to the old church, the food market and many cosy bars and cafés. Especially if you reserve one of the tablet in free air you will have a show watching life passing by.We had zucchini flowers for starters, deeeelicious, then the most noble fish of them all, turbot, very well cooked with interesting pumpkin and other stuff... and for dessert an apricot dessert in three variations that mad...

I could hardly manage to eat the generous range of sea food balanced on my plate. a langustine positioned with claws around a potato towered over the mixture of shellfish . A range of fresh vegetables lurked below. The food was delicious full of flavour stylishly presented. The restaurant was fully booked and mostly local people everybody eating with enjoyment My husband was delighted with his fois gras starter and well presented scallops. We wanted to return for lunch the following day but sadly our train times did not allow us enough time.

I went here with my in-laws who live in Saint-Raph and never eat out in their own town. Which I can understand- a lot of the restaurants cater for less-than-discerning beach tourists. But one evening we ate here, and it was actually perfectly fine. Which says a lot in this context.
