Le Clos Normand Restaurant

I have not stayed here but have eaten in the restaurant for lunch. I took the 14 euro menu consisting of oysters (exellent), chicken pays d'auge (delicious) and fromage (very flavoursome). My wife had the moules entree (plentiful and very tasty), pot au poission (excellent again) and home made tarte citron (large protion). The service was friendly and the value for menu excellent, highly recommended!

This has been the highlight of our trip to Normandy in terms of restaurant; exellent meat, which came fresh from the Butchery shop nextdoor, which I am sure, must be from the same owner. Very very good meal; we revisited the place and make sure to reserve as the place is packed also during the week.

In Troarn, this restaurant offers nothing special. Overcooked salmon, overcooked peas, old interior. Maybe a typical place in a French town, but we have seen much better.

We are staying here for a few nights. Lovely family run hotel. The family are very friendly and the evening meals are excellent as is the menu choice. A gem of a place :
