Le Côte De Brouilly

We 've been searching for a couple of years now for a new lunchtime venue on the Beaujolais wine route. Our previous favourite in Chiroubles has changed hands and sadly been 'upgraded '. Le Cote de Brouilly was recommended by Dominique at Dom. Les Roches Blues (do look them up, you won 't find better or nicer). Very happy to report that a new lunchtime favourite has been found. Very warm welcome, basic, clean, tidy and very high quality food. What more could you want? We 'll be back next year.

This was recommended by the lovely family at Domaine Les Roches Blues. It was ideal for lunch before heading back to our hotel in Villefranche. The decor is quite bright and airy not like a traditional French bistro. The food was very good ouefs en meurette and gravelax to start, followed by Poulet de Bresse and gratin de la mer. Sadly my husband was driving, so I enjoyed a glass of Côte de Brouilly on my own.

We were driving through the Beaujolais wine region and we were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch. It may have been luck that we stumbled across this place and boy were we lucky. The lunchtime menu is varied and very reasonable in price. The service is very good as well, just don't expect fast food because courses take time to be served. Give yourself a couple of hours for lunch but it's well worth it

Warm welcome by very friendly people. No English but they will try very hard to satisfy. Salads Beaujolaise and Gran Ravioli are standouts. If you are adventurous try the Salade de pied de veau, which is pigs feet. Doesn't sound good but it's delicious!

We came to this restaurant two days ago and although it was full of people the lady who welcomed us was gentle. The food was amazing!! We’ll recommend warmly this restaurant to our friends.
