Do you want to be insulted by an unbelievably rude and impolite middle aged women who knows exactly what she is doing to try to annoy you? Then visit this restaurant. A reluctance to provide a carafe of tap water, “We always this excuse have a problem with the water”, and yet other tables have it!! Is it because she is trying to upsell “….you can buy a bottle of still or sparkling here…” . And is it because we are English that she pretends not to understand a single word we speak in our passable French accent and so lapses into her passable English, or is she just anti-English ? Well we hear she’s rude to many of her customers, English and French alike, and heard an example of that as we sat...

The patron is rude, confrontational and takes pleasure in alienating customers. On a busy Saturday night, we were the only people there. The food was terrible. We got half the food that we ordered for example, a camembert salad with potatoes was served with no camembert and no potatoes. The wine was very overpriced for the quality. At the end he tried to charge us 50 Euros more than the price of the food and drinks and tried to pick a fight. We felt sorry for the young waiter who has to put up with his constant bullying. I will be returning soon to have a conversation with him about basic respect for other people.

We booked a table at this place after walking past on Sunday lunchtime. Most restaurants are closed on Monday in La Chatre but we booked a table and were not disappointed. Very friendly service from a very hard working waiter (who also spoke English) and great food from the chef/owner (who speaks German). It was quite funny to switch between languages as we are a multi lingual family. The evening menu is very limited with just 6/7 options but that meant that the food was excellent. They were able to cater for family members with nut and dairy allergies too. Tout simplement génial et délicieux.

the waitress is very present, and mixes with what is not looking at her, making remarks about everything. otherwise, the dish of the day is correct with homemade ice cream at 5,50€, but in half-portion. otherwise, there is a local rosé or the girl is at 13€, we want to make the local trade work, but not at any price ... Un très bon accueil par le Patron du Duplex, il a toujours une petite attention pour ses clients. Le repas est très bon, gourmand. Je recommande pour tous les voyageurs ! Enguérand Hadrien Ps : Nous sommes bien arrivés à Lyon sur nos 2 vélos...

Varied menu. English speaking staff. Lots of stairs in the restaurant so if you have mobility problems it is perhaps better to avoid. The toilets are upstairs too.

very good and copyy cuisine but the practices of a waitress (the most aged I think) are mellowed with something that does not look at it. It's not the first time!

The boss is a very nice atypical character. Traditional cuisine, beef lange, Burgundy as a dish of the day, cooking the way we like it. Reserve uma mesa agora

traditional cuisine very good. The summer outdoor terrace in the pedestrian street is an asset and allows to rest around a good dish.
