We convinced the 3 young children to walk along the beach to get lunch or even icecream. Kids in Beach gear and tee shirts. Sat outside in terrace overlooking beach. Place was empty.I had shorts and swimsuit no teeshirt. She Refused to serve us because of me. I left kids and husband with money but she kept shoutingthe me to 'get out as I was leaving ' Hurry and leave , get out!. ' She then completely refused to serve husband and children. Just ignored them and served new custoMers.very long walk back for family.the kids still talk about it.1st ever rv on here.apaLling way to treat children
Even though there was a terrible smell from the beach, we stopped off for a coffee and I asked for a cafe creme. They brought me an expresso with a jug of cold milk. I went in to say that this was not what i asked for and was met with a very aggressive response. Five men all shouted at me. It was very intimidating for me as a woman. They were so rude even when I tried to smooth things over they were rude. This is old style France where the customer is never right. I imagine if you go there and have any problem with your meal you will be met by the same response. Beware.
As others have said. Excellent position on the coast. Right next door to the campsite. Huge portion size. Half the size would still leave you full. I had the steak which occupied half of the plate with chips/frites the other. Found the steak a bit chewey so I'm giving it just an ok. It wasn't a cheap meal@ 18 euros but if you considered how big it was i' d say price was fair Mrs had spaghetti Bolognese. Again we could have shared it. Taste was excellent. A side order of chips will feed 2-3 adults! 2 mains, 2 sides, 3 deserts and a round of fizzy drinks cost us €71
A group of us, 7 adults and 4 children dropped in at around 11:30 for some coffee, maybe some cake and who knows maybe some lunch later on. We were told that we could not come in just for drinks and made to feel very unwelcome. I would describe the service as openly hostile. Perhaps the employees should seek an alternative career as front of house is clearly not for them.
