Le jardin de collioure

if they stay in collioure for any length of time they must love fish and seafood, and if they love fish and seafood, they will love this restaurant. it is part of a small chain with chez pujol in port vendres and jardin de San...Sebastian in banyuls. here they can share a large whole fish that landed this morning and cooked as they like (I recommend "au sel", where the fish is baked under a salt crust.) we have eaten in all 3 restaurants and are all good. Not much on their dish, except fresh fish and seafood, nicely cooked. le jardin de collioure is hidden just before the hill behind the dominican at the southern end of faubourg. the area has an ice view of the Dominican building and is quit...

After anticipating dinner at Le Jardín, we were shocked and so disappointed at the lack of quality of the food. The experience began with the parking attendant who was completely condescending to my husband. He even went so far as to reach into our car...and turn the steering wheel! I ordered the duck Magret which arrived with two foie grad grams slices on top that were ice cold. The duck was cooked from frozen and torched to crisp the outside skin. The taste of fuel was very strong. The gratineed potatoes were awful. Hard, like a hockey puck! My husband had steak tartare that was obviously made with vinegar and looked predigested. The experience was just awful. Skip this place. The worst.

Bad. ordinary food and very expensive definitiw not worth money. we felt that all the dishes were overpriced and we had much better and cheaper meals elsewhere. The nice plate (18 euro,) was particularly disappointing and consisted of the pieces and pieces that appeared to be directed on others. duel and unimaginatiw and surprisingly, with a bowl of lukewarm chips will be presented in a Mediterranean table. the service was pleasant and the room nice, but that did not compensate the prices!

recommend this restaurant. the food was excellent, we beautifully presented traditional salad, two different seafood, chocolate mousse and a few different weine through the glass. the dining room was beautifully decorated and relatiw calm, as it was full as it was the off season, it was obvious that most of the patrons were native. the service was attentive and helpful.
