Le Joli Bois - Reservar uma mesa

Called here for a quick bite whilst the legs eased, during a February Ski trip. We had 'Plat Du Jour ' and a bowl of soup, a beer and a coffee. The soup was fine but my son in law 's meal looked awfully strange with purple veg though in fairness, he did say it was fine, and it was all scoffed without too much trouble. As mountain restaurants go, it was OK, though at about £32, the price is ridiculous. and apart from a half decent view over the lower valley, there is little to commend this place to any passing skiers. I have no doubt that the prices reflect its proximity to the Vanoise Express which takes you to Les Arcs, but in fairness, if you are going across this superb gondola, just save...

We just got back from Les Aecs on the Vanoise Express and this is the first restaurant you get to in Montchavin. It was pretty ordinary. There was no real character. We did gave to wait around 20 Minutes for our meal. I thought the cost of the Croque Monsieur was really high. Soup was nice but not very hot and the toasted cheese bread was stone cold. Might have been better off with the plat du jour which was tartiflette. Not a great experience but well situated.

Great burgers on our first day. Huge great things. Very tasty. Only downside was one dish arrived late. But service was good otherwise. Returned later in the week for hot choc crepe mid afternoon.

Located right next to the Vanoise Express cable car, we stopped a few times mid ski run for hot drinks and snacks. Prices similar to most places, overall was fine, nothing bad nothing great.

Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Not posh, but warm atmosphere. Not crowded. Good hot wine. Recommend for visit!
