This is an EXCELLENT choice for French food in Montreal. If you are familiar with French fare and service and you want to go to a good, traditional BYOW this is definitely it! I typically don’t enjoy the French experience but this one changed my mind. The food here is traditional but also really inspired and exciting. The service lacks I'm sorry to say. I thought it was fine but by typical North American standards of service it is pretty bad lol. A very pleasant experience, yet again, at Le Margaux. COVID-19 protocols followed according to the current public policies. Our party of three was seated at three joined tables that would normally have sat many more. The food was on point, even if the service was just a bit off kilter, no doubt due to the current health and safety restrictions. The escargots, done three ways, was as delicious as ever, as were my sweetbreads. My guests were both happy with their veal and duck dishes as well as the foie gras. When I go for dinner, there are a few things I expect. If you are in business & serving high quality fiod- your air conditioningshould be up to par- not explaining to customers that the AC doesn't really cool the place well- then get it fixed or get another one.The food was so soo good- escagot done 3 ways- each one better than the other. My duck was done to perfection. Everyone loved their meals but were so uncomfortable- great quality & a BYOB !!i hope when we go back in the fall- the heating isnt too hot

I recently dined at this restaurant with a large group when the power unexpectedly went out. Despite the lack of electricity for lights and their range hood, the staff impressively managed to continue serving in a fully reserved restaurant lit only by candlelight. They quickly adapted the menu to accommodate the situation. These professionals didn't miss a beat and continued to provide delicious food and exceptional service, even during such challenging circumstances. Reserve uma mesa agora

Went for a special birthday lunch. Quite a bit of choice. Has a terrasse but a little noisy on busy street. Nice ambiance inside. The plus is that this is a Bring your own wine restaurant, so the bill does not fly so high !

This French restaurant is excellent. The service is highly efficient and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. We dined with a large group and they were able to accommodate us without any hassle.

Classic French. Le Margaux is my current favorite French restaurant. You will find the essence of tradition, nothing too fancy or experimental, perfect execution and generosity on the plate.

Adelicious meal. This remains one of my favorite French restaurants. Delicious food, good service, spare but lovely decor. I bring all my out of town guests here.
