Le mas des orangers

This is a charming restaurant in one one of the bigger squares in Biot. The host was extremely welcoming and gracious. The food is simple, home made and delicious. My wife had steak tartare which was as good as I have tasted. I had quiche which was tasty. Our friends had quiche and a goats cheese salad. Both of which were described as ‘lovely’. For dessert my wife and I shared a fig tart which was simple and delicious. We ended up staying for much longer than we intended to which was no bad thing.

We had a delicious lunch served by attentive, friendly staff. Farcis was outstanding and the salmon quiche was flavorful without being overly rich. The apple pie and chocolate cake desserts were superb. Great selection of local, infused olive oils, as well! Highly recommend!

From the moment I inquired about the daily menu, the owners were warm and cheerful. They serve very good food that is handsomely presented in the main square of the town. And I love the concept--using the ingredients from their speciality store in their food.

Food was ok . Price was ok. Service was ok. Can’t really say I’d recommend this place. Sorry. Waitress was a bit pushy, asked us about 3 times if we were ready to order and that was within 5 minutes of being there. Felt rushed into deciding what we wanted.

This is a really nice place. Delicious coffee and fresh juice and a lovely little shop. Really helpful staff who helped me choose some presents for family back home
