Mystic was very disappointing while the menu appeared varied, there were out of lots of items and therefore the menu was limited. When our dinners arrived, the food was poor and served on cold plates. The veg was overlooked, tasteless and cold. Our steaks were chewey and greasy. The chips were the best part of the meal and chips would not normally be something I would bother with, or comment on. The waiter displayed an indifferent attitude. He had his coat on and was out the door 30 seconds after he cleared our plates and threw the bill on the table. This restaurant came highly recommended by a regular visitor to Megeve and did not disappoint us. The restaurant is situated on a bustling street which is great for some late night shopping and has a great atmosphere in general. The restaurant itself has a great winelist, We tried everything from a delicious fondue to the days special which was a beef steak served with a creamy mushroom sauce. All the main meals were delicious however the beef steak special, whilst having a great flavour, was quite fatty and sinewy. The desserts however were where they excelled. We had lunch on the deck and the view of Mont Blanc was superb but everything else was pretty indifferent. I don’t think they really care about service at all here. We had the steak which was pretty stringy and average. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with our main course which didn’t arrive until two of the four of us had already finished. The waitresses response when we declined it was no worries like it was somehow our fault. They obviously can’t be bothered so I would recommend that you don’t bother going there.

We dined here on a September evening only us in! No welcome, find your own seat. Girl behind the bar more interested in looking at herself in the mirror behind the bar!! Eventually she brought the menu. Food arrived reasonably quickly, poorly presented, small quantities not particularly well cooked, not cheap. We ate and made a quick exit. Would NOT recommend you come here. Plenty of better around the area who will at least try to serve you.

Front couple of tables have views. Had beef barbecue for 2 at lunch. Square BBQ sat on table with huge plate of raw thin beef to cook. Several sauces, green salad and huge bowl of chips! Different and beautifully cooked.....obviously!
