On a Sunday in December it's not easy to find a delicious reasonably priced meal in Normandy. This bar looked busy, warm and inviting. The main problem was there was no menu du jour which was understandable on a Sunday but there were numerous boards with choices of courses . Some were pArt of a three course menu , Some not , but it was very confusing . We ended up spending 55 Euros which was as much as a first class midday meal we had eaten in narbonne earlier in the week.You need to be very canny if you want a cheap meal here. The food was good but not great. The waitress got impatient when I asked her various questions about what the course were , in.mybest French which I admit is not grea...
We visited on a Monday and to be honest, couldn't see anywhere else open for coffee so sat outside on a warm day enjoying the quiet surroundings. After some time, we saw the quality of food served and decided to order lunch. We had a hamburger and chips and Salad Italienne, both enjoyable (served with a carafe of water). It was just to see us through the day but was beyond our expectations!
We visited for a coffee. Ordered 3 coffees of which my mum paid for two and my boyfriend was charged for two so charged over. We got up to leave when finished under the impression we had paid. Next moment the proprietor came running out shouting at us and accusing us of not paying so we had to pay again. Even the waitress was rude to us. We will never return and do not recommend this place
We went there for lunch today in the freezing cold. Because I had my puppy with me we had to sit outside in the freezing cold and eat. The food was overpriced too and not that good. Will not recommend this place unless in the summer. A big dissapoint as they were not even half full and could at least have made an effort to accommodate us near the entrance. A great let down!!
