Le Paradoxe - Reservar uma mesa

We selected this restaurant for lunch, expecting professional and attentive service, good food and charming decor. The last point was fulfilled. The waiter eventually came to take our order. He did not ask about an aperitif. So we had to raise that issue ourselves - after ordering our main courses. A catalogue of errors followed:A kir was asked for and delivered as a glass of white wine, which the waiter called a 'kir normal'. We sent it back and it returned slightly pink with creme de cassis. We asked for the plate of grilled vegetables and parmesan to accompany our aperitifs. The waiter came back and told us that the vegetables had run out. Would we mind aubergine? We agreed - the aubergin...

It's quite a large, modern restaurant with a decent range of food on the menu. The fixed-price menus were really excellent - very good food and well-priced.The outstanding PLUS were the staff - unfailingly polite, friendly, efficient - and helpfully, all spoke excellent English. The house wine was well priced (and good quality, but the beer was rather expensive at €9.60 for 500ml.Overall - we really enjoyed our visit and would have no hesitation in returning.

We tried it because it was just across the street from the hotel. It was quite good, we had the 25 euro menu which is a real bargain. The more expensive menus looks great as well. The wine list is limited but again reasonable with enough choices to keep us happy. The service was good but not great but no gripes. Certainly worth a try!

I loved the whole feel of the place on my visit , the food and beer was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be visiting again and try more from the menu

my cousin took me and my son last minute and the staff was very courteous and eating was nice and the service was impeccable, will come back.
