It has something very cosy. The owner seems a bit severe but he's actually very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and, if you come for just coffee, you can go to the bakery opposite to get something nice to eat. It is not a pub, doesn't look like it, but somehow it has a similar feel. We loved being there.

Our favorite cafe in Coutances. Great cafe creme, right in the center by the cathedral and a lovely terrace. Good atmosphere with consistent friendly service. The patron recognises us and we appreciate that touch. Delicious hot chocolate served hot. Our local when in Coutances.

We needed a venue to collect together all those travelling to Normandy for a wedding. The owners were happy to oblige and even allow us to bring a few nibbles to keep things going along. have revisited in a calmer time and just a good.

Good service, great during the jazz festival, live jazz everyday. Always pleasant. Don't serve food but you are welcome to take your own.
