Le P'tit Bacchus - Reservar uma mesa

We stumbled across Le P'tit Bacchus when we arrived in Saintes in the rain. It seemed to be the only place open so we ventured in. Very pleased we did. Nice little restaurant with a reasonable menu. We decided to go for the salad rather...than the fixed price menu. Mine was grilled goats cheese on french bread, my husband had chefs salad (ham, cheese, eggs). The salad bowls they came in were enormous so very good value for money and a very tasty dressing. I then had tarte tartin for dessert which was also delicious. Service with a smile and a smattering of English what more can you ask for!

This small bistro' it's located between the left side of the river and the cathedral just off the pedestrian area but still in a pretty quite area; the place it's small especially inside (can seat approximately 8 people inside and about 20 in the outside...terrace) and it gets easily busy; they serve local handmade food, good taste, generous portions; the staff is friendly and efficient; not too expensive, we've spent for 2 main courses, 1 dessert, 2 coffees and 3 small beers about 40 euros. If you're in Saintes for lunch time I would strong recommend it.

Went here for lunch today, my salad was big and very tasty, the grilled goats cheese , husband had the dish of the day , pigs liver, it was freshly prpared and succulent, very pleasant atmosphere and attentive waiter, the wine was from a list,...instead of just the bog standard for a glas there werw three options for each red, rose and white, we enjoyed it very much.

5 minutes from the center of saintes near the river and en route to the amphitheater with parking opposite. great lunch for generous salads we had a goat cheese and a marmelade cru both unusually served with little roast potatoes, which makes it a...lunch two salads and 3 beers for less than 30 euro are good in this part of the world!

I have eaten here numerous times over the last year or so. The service is always friendly and cheerful. I have never been disappointed with the food, and sometimes eaten dishes which would have graced much more expensive restaurants. Overall excellent value for money. One...of my favourite haunts in Saintes.
