Le Relais de la Ganache

Recently there stayed here for a week at the shop in the area. Remarkably clean, very quiet and quiet location and some of the quietest nights I ever had during the trip. Mr. Cohen is a wonderful owner and host....he welcomed me cordially and made sure that I was in and comfortable. His English is pretty good and so don't worry if your French isn't the best. The small village and surroundings is perfect for a walk or a hike at any time, and if you want to go riding or want to bring and stable your own then this is certainly the place for you. Of course the star of the stay is the food! Mr.Cohen has a true passion for cooking and it shows breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every meal was wonderfull...

IF you are traveling with your horse on holiday this is the place for you, they have a field, etc where your horse can stay over night . This small restaurant has also some rooms,not many so book well in advance. Warm welcome and great food. Have been there several time and the food is always good. No choice of menu just one but very tasty. IF yo u have someone who is VERY fussy or alergique the menu can be change for them. Owner makes you very welcome. ENJOY!

Hidden jewel! Only a few tables in the middle of the hills 15km from Perigueux. A relaxed chef who comes to suggest his inspration of the day. Noodles with Sesam an yuzu (yes, he may sometimes add a Japanese note) were perfect. To rent a few rooms and a few horses, you can also stay a little longer! The value for the price is incredible, the level of food is worth a one-star.

Had dinner here for a stay in St. Astier. Beautiful restaurant with fabulous food, music and staff. Had a delicious set menu with an egg starter, veal head and raspberry pavlova. We had a nice evening during the holiday. Food was excellent and very good for what we had. Nice place and the owner, who is also the cook and waiter, was fabulous. Set the menu details until you arrive, four courses all delicious.
