Le Roi Carotte - Reservar uma mesa

my man and I spent ten days in the dordogne, Frankreich mitte mai. the owners of the gite we had rented had recommended le roi carrote as restaurant to try in the opposite. it was one of the best restaurants we tried while we were in the dordogne. it was a bit difficult to find, as it was a little out of town, but we're worth the search. very beautiful decoration with a large fireplace to warm us from the rain outside. the food was beautifully presented, plentiful and especially delicious! the homemade suppe, which was the first cure and presented in a large tureen, was fabulous – a meal for itself. the service was friendly and helpful with our limited French. would highly recommend.

Rustic charm here set in farmland and with livestock providing dynamic interest. Maitre d’ and daughter run a tight ship with engaging manner and abundant “chic”. Food is outstanding and although the main focus is on duck dishes plenty is available for other tastes. We...ate here 3 times during a short stay locally. Although this was our 5th visit to the area and we were disappointed that it had taken us so long to find this gem.

beautiful break on a long bike tour through dordogne. simple but excellent dishes. the two young loved it.
