"Stopped off here for lunch when visiting the town as it seemed very busy so it must be popular. We had the standard mussels dish marniere and it was lovely, nice bottle of wine some bread and fries 22 euro"

I only ever review if a meal was spectacular or dreadful because I believe every restaurant can have an off day but this place falls into the latter. We initially spent around 40€ in drinks because we realised we would have to wait an hour before the food service and wished to save our table the young lady who served us was friendly and helpful and was finishing her shift. Therefore we had our order taken at 7.10pm by new unfriendly staff and was 3rd in the queue. The restaurant quickly filled up to maximum capacity within minutes of being 7pm. What caught our eye was that every table inside and out had their orders taken and all their food had been served but we still hadn't seen our food....

This was our second visit this year. We went in April and the service was fair and food good. Returned in August and service was appalling and food average. Not like the French cuisine we have grown to love. We waited ages to be served , three times asked for water in French, each time were ignored. Asked for the bill 3 times , finally went to the cash desk to pay only to be given half of someone else's bill on ours . Twice the bill was incorrect, then we asked to split the bill between us and our friends with us. The waitress was horribly condescending about my incorrect French. Everywhere I have been in France I've always been encouraged to try to speak even with limited French. Even the o...

My husband and I have eaten at this fabulous seafood restaurant several times as we love the freshness and variety of their meals. I would recommend the Ficelle Picarde as a starter, a savoury pancake stuffed with cheese, mushroom and ham, as well as any of their wonderful fish dishes. My husband always has a pot of Mussels, which are cooked in a variety of sauces, and he loves the Roquefort sauce in particular. They also offer huge seafood platters brimming with all kinds of shellfish like oysters, crab and lobster: they look very impressive and they are very popular with the French, although I am not sure the two of us could manage to get through it! The menus of the day are very good valu...

We came to this restaurant having just walked out of another terrible restaurant as we had waited for over half an hour and we hadn't even been given a menu. They took our order promptly in this restaurant but then we waited about 40 minutes to actually get our moules frites which were pretty rubbish tasteless and very small and the frites were overcooked. Extremely poor service.
