Le Stromboli - Reservar uma mesa

Visited with family, in high expectations as we have eaten here several times in previous years, but disappointed this time, presumably there has been a change in management. For example, previous excellent moules marinieres, now they [over]cook the moules in the pizza oven, the shells were charred and fragile and the moules were generally dry and in some cases impossible to remove from the shell fragments. Pizzas no more than OK. Difficult to attract a waiter despite the place being almost empty.

I usually use a rule of thumb that if a restaurant is quite busy it's generally a good sign. In this case, it couldn't have been more wrong. Although we got seated straight away, it look at least 15 mins before our table had any place-mats or cutlery. We ordered drinks first and then the food. The food arrived first !! We had to remind our waiter about our drinks order. The standard of the food was poor. It certainly won't be somewhere we'll be recommending or heading back to anytime soon.

Myself and family went for dinner. Whilst the pizzas were very good and portions were large, the service from start to end was poor. It was as if they did not have enough staff to deal with the number of tables. We even left without the kids getting their 'kids meal ice cream ' and was not even offered a reduction for this.

I had a pizza with chorizo. A bit burnt but it tasted way better than it looked. The place is not on the Main Street but like 10 meters into the side.

Good service, nice pizza... shared a plate for two, problem. Good place for a quick pizza and a beer!
