small gastronomic treasure in the heart of st. emilion a few steps from the monolithic church. to start a quiet and elegant atmosphere. We take the menu gastronomique, first the medley of tomatoes with lobster medallions and the langoustines (in fact small cigalas) in satay sauce, second we both take the white fish on a squid bed, mini-bimis and sepia papardelle, dessert a strawberries with cream in a delicate saladwich of galletitas of cinnamonous very extensive wine menu, which is logical for the wine area that is. also worthy of mention the absolute mastery of the owner and host with exquisite and friendly treatment. highly recommended place if you visit st emilion.

My wife had the oysters to start followed by the maigre sauvage and it was all excellent. I however had the melon to start which was also excellent followed by a very dry coq au vin. The coq is clearly baked without the sauce as it is still very white inside as opposed to others that I have had that have clearly soaked slowly in a wine sauce and succulent and tender. For desert the rum babar was also dry with only a distant memory of any rum. The wine was lovely and one of their cheaper bottles at 40 euros but no complaints there. However at 175 euros for 2 people, I think the meal could have been better. Our visit 2 years ago was memorable for all the right reasons.

As we decended down the steep hill to find a restaurant, we spotted the lovely tables outside and the charm of the restaurant. My husband has the fish which was moist and tender, while I had the coq au vin which was good but not the best. The winelist was huge and the owner helped us pick a great local wine. I would highly recommend the salmon for the start as it was delicious. Definitely, This will be worth a trip up or down that hill.

Our meal at Le Tertre was one of the best we had in the region. The menu was interesting and the food was wonderful. Wine was available by the half-bottle which suited us perfectly. The staff were charming. The ambience was relatively sophisticated but at the same time had character and buzz - partly because it was full - I was glad we had booked in advance! advised by the tourist office, we went to dinner in this restaurant. beautiful room, very welcoming and attentive staff. The kitchen is excellent, we have enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. the menu is at a more than correct price (34€) for an irreproachable service worthy of a gourmet. Perfect.

Excellent food and service. We spent a wonderful evening outside. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The food was among the best we had in 5 days Bordeaux and St.Emilion
